Join us on December 6th from 5-8 PM in celebrating the launch of Amanda Hayden’s debut poetry collection, American Saunter. As the current Poet Laureate of Sinclair College, Hayden’s work has been described as “a soaring, vivid travelogue of poems that breathe dusty, dog-eared stories along the wide highway stretches of American landscape and imagination.”
American Saunter has been praised for its exploration of the human spirit and dedication to the complexities of America. John Dorsey calls it “a travelogue of the human spirit… dedicated to this complicated country that many of us call home,” while Jamey Dunham notes Hayden as “an imagistic, insightful, and emotional poet.”
Hayden, an award-winning professor and Pushcart Prize Nominee, will be joined by guest speakers Furaha Henry-Jones, former Sinclair Poet Laureate, and Aimee Noel, a two-time Ohio Arts Council Excellence Award Winner, for an evening of poetry, storytelling, and celebration.
