For Schools and Groups

The Museum offers scheduled tours for school or youth groups, clubs, or organizations interested in having a tour led by a museum guide.

In addition to days the museum is open, tours can also be scheduled on Tuesday-Thursday from 10 am to 5 pm. A group is considered to be at least 10 people. Begin by filling out the form below, and one of our staff will reach out to you over email. Please see below for payment and scheduling information.

Tour Fees

School or youth groups are $5 per person. Chaperones and teachers are free. Minimum of 10 paying people.

Adult groups are $8 per person with one free spot for the tour organizer. Minimum of 10 people altogether. Optional art activity add-on has additional fees.

Payment

Upon confirming your tour request, we will email you an invoice for your confirmed date and time. Payment for the entire group is due at the time of confirmation. Payment can be made securely with a credit card. Additional participants later can easily be added on the day of the tour.

Cancellation Policy

A full refund will be made if a group needs to cancel their tour if we’re notified 48 hours before the confirmed tour. Another option is to reschedule the tour for a later date. As long as the Museum is notified 48 hours before the first tour date, all payments go toward the rescheduled tour date.

Group Tours Create a Richer Experience

All of the museum exhibits are generally self-guided with volunteers available to answer your questions about the collection. Scheduling a group Tour will provide a deeper dive into museum exhibits, our history, mission, and include our quarterly guest exhibits. Group tours are a perfect complement to book clubs, civic organizations, travel groups, and for religious organizations.

An additional add-on for groups is an hour-long hands-on art experience that includes materials, instructions, and supplies. Be sure to inquire on your tour request form.

We Take the Lead for Classroom Teachers and Youth Leaders

We can connect the dots with history, civics, art, and the subjects of nonviolence, compassion, and peace literacy for students. Tours can be adjusted to the age and interests of the group. Our Director of Education works with youth group leaders or teachers ahead of time to discuss the goals of the field trip and making curriculum connections.
